Cons: The yoga mats are incredibly worn and dirty which was very embarrassing being a retreat host. I hosted a yoga retreat here and the shala never got sweeped and the mats never cleaned. Happy I checked the rooms to add a welcome gift because the rooms were not all cleaned, one of them had a huge ant village in it, one had a dead mouse, and the other missing batteries in the ac remote. Once I told the staff they were very accommodating. I understand Thailand standards but for the price they ask, I expected better, or at least for someone to check everything before the client arrives. Also, make sure to ask all the questions about who else has access to the resort during the retreat, they will continue to sell out the other rooms unless you pay an additional exclusivity fee. Pros: The nature is beautiful and the food is delicious. The yoga shalas are stunning (even when there’s music from the neighbors blasting at 8am)

A Hidden Gem in Doi Saket – Mala Dhara Eco Resort My stay at Mala Dhara was nothing short of magical. Nestled in the lush countryside of Doi Saket, this eco-resort is the perfect blend of rustic charm, comfort, and sustainability. From the moment I arrived, I felt an overwhelming sense of peace. The natural surroundings, organic gardens, and thoughtfully designed villas made it a truly immersive experience. The staff were incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to make sure every detail was taken care of. The accommodations are earthy yet luxurious—each villa uniquely styled with natural materials, outdoor showers, and beautiful views of the rice fields and mountains. One of the highlights was the plant-based cuisine—fresh, flavorful, and made with love. The yoga shala and saltwater pool added to the wellness vibe, making it easy to disconnect and recharge. If you're looking for a peaceful escape, a place to reconnect with nature, or even host a retreat, Mala Dhara is a dream. I can't wait to return.

Mala Dhara is a rustic, natural feeling heaven. They just opened up a coffee and candle shop that has such a special, chill vibe. There is space for yoga practice and soaking in nature. The pool is delightful and the rooms are lovely. It is an Eco resort so I’m happy for the rooms not to be cleaned daily. The vegan food is so delicious and the family that runs the resort are so sweet. I have returned many times and will be back again!!!!!

Mala Dhara is an absolute oasis—so quiet and serene. The staff and owner are lovely, the yoga classes amazing, and the vegan food is next level (11/10!). The hobbit-style rooms are super cute, cozy, and full of character. I absolutely loved it!

I went on a New Years retreat here and I couldn’t imagine a better location for a retreat. The feeling of running away from all the city noise. Beautiful resort with lovely staff. Ploy who owns the place is the coolest person, so inspiring. Oh, and the food…. Still dreaming of it. Will definatelly be back again🎉🎉
