Virgin Active Chiang Mai

Before purchasing the membership, I clearly asked in advance whether it was allowed to film my workouts on my phone (filming only myself, for technique analysis). The gym staff member confirmed several times that filming was allowed, which is why I decided to buy the membership, which is not cheap. On my first workout, a staff member approached me and told me that filming is not allowed in the gym. As a result, I had to stop my workout. Later, the same staff member who initially gave permission confirmed that filming is actually prohibited. Only 3 days had passed since the purchase, and I had trained only once. I requested a refund, but only half of the membership fee was returned, which left a very disappointing impression. The gym itself is spacious and comfortable, with a good cardio area, yoga room, and showers. However, the contradictory information from the staff completely ruined the experience.

Lovely gym at a great price, great modern equipment with many classes available. I had to pleasure of working with Joey who was very professional and courteous.

I have been a member for about a week now and this place is really great! It's a little more expensive than I would expect in Chiang Mai and they don't have a swimming pool here either, hence the 4*, otherwise I'd give more. Since joining, I have attended a variety of classes - Yoga, body pump, body combat, Zumba, Sculpt and I plan to sample many more. My experience with all the instructors (except for one, so far) try their best to incorporate some English Instructions which helps a lot! I appreciate that so much, as I am trying to learn Thai but am no where near good enough to understand complicated information. The locker rooms and showers are always kept really clean ( I am very conscious of cleanliness!) as well as the whole gym environment with strict covid safety rules. I am an advanced yoga teacher and the yoga teachers here are really good. Every class I have been to has challenged me and is far superior to anything I have experienced in the USA! Khruu Nui is an excellent yoga teacher. All the staff have been super friendly and helpful, including the manager. I can't understand some of the other reviews... I am loving it!

After successfully submitting form online and been given green light reception wont allow to use trial class as i am not staying long enough.

These prices are an absolute joke. There is no gym in the world that is this expensive without a pool and other facilities. It’s also in a crowded mall! Why would people pay these ridiculous prices when its country club prices. It’s ridiculous
