In terms of group classes, I really think Lion Fitness is the absolute best option. I've not been able to find any other gym in Chiang Mai that offers so many and such a large variety of classes - you can attend as many as you like. For me, that is a huge value for money. I paid for a yearly membership, and attend two or three classes six times a week. Because of them I discovered Body Combat, Body Pump and Dance Fitness (but this is just three of the almost 10 choices), and I'm obsessed. The staff is also extremely friendly and attentive. It feels like a family.

The gym is small. In the evenings the machines are always busy. If you want to take part in a class you have to make a reservation 3 days in advance otherwise you can forget about them letting you in. The room for group classes is very small. There is little space in the changing room to sit and change shoes. In the city you can find much better gyms and cheaper because here a monthly pass costs 2000 THB

very good gym with high quality equipment, AC and good service. Training is a lot of fun here. But it is very expensive for Chiang Mai and far away from the city center

Extremely expensive for what you get. Not worth it. Better gyms nearby.
